When do I need to be there?
We recommend that you arrive on Saturday afternoon (July 21st for OBR and August 4th for MBR). Check-In will open at 2 p.m.
We will have the campsite ready for you, as well as, dinner on Saturday night. Both rides begin on Sunday morning.
Detailed information will be included in your registration confirmation package.
What do my fees include?
The registration fee includes three meals per day beginning with dinner on Saturday evening and concluding with a gourmet box lunch
on Saturday for your drive home. Also included are your camping fees, gear transport, hot showers and towel service, clean toilets,
vehicle support, rest stops with tables overflowing with a wide assortment of goodies, ample snacks and beverages in camp, weeklong parking,
commemorative ride socks by SockGuy, and a commemorative item.
What do I need to do if I have to cancel?
We understand that unanticipated events will cause some participants to need to cancel their reservation.
To deal with this situation as fairly as possible, the Board of Directors has developed the following policy regarding cancellations:
Before Wednesday, May 23rd for OBR, or Wednesday, June 6th for MBR:
If you cancel your reservation prior to 60 days before the start of the ride, we will refund your full entry fee
within 10 business days less a $100 processing fee.
From May 24th until June 22nd for OBR, or from June 7th until July for MBR:
If you cancel your reservation within 60 days before the start of the ride, but at least 30 days prior to the start of the ride,
we will refund your entry fee after the ride is over less a $250 processing fee.
After June 23rd for OBR, or after July 3rd for MBR:
If you cancel your reservation within 30 days prior to the start of the ride, or if you must abandon the ride after it has started,
we will be unable to refund any portion of your entry fee.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. Date of the receipt of your request will be determined by the e-mail sent date or the post-mark date.
Please submit cancellation requests/letters to: info@bicycleridesnw.org or mail to:

Have you considered purchasing cancellation insurance?
If the possibility of having to cancel your reservation is a concern to you, we recommend that you consider obtaining trip cancellation insurance.
How can I obtain trip cancellation insurance?
We do not provide trip cancellation insurance. However, it can be obtained through various travel agents and from many insurers directly.
Try a Google Search for "travel cancellation insurance."
McKay Insurance Agency, our insurance agency, offers trip cancellation insurance. For more information, please contact them directly at www.mckayinsagency.com or 641-842-2135 or 800-942-0283. Scott Ziller or Dan McKay will be able to assist anyone regarding trip cancellation insurance.
Is this a camping or a lodging tour?
This is a camping tour. A list of motels in the communities where we will be staying will be sent to you in the confirmation packet.
However we do NOT have any shuttle service to get you to the motels. Getting there will be on your own.
Riders who choose to do this should bring a backpack to carry what they need for the night and ride their bike to the motel.
Be sure to check MapQuest or with the motel’s reservation clerk in advance to see how far your accommodations will be from Camp Central.
How many bags can I bring?
We ask that you only bring a reasonable amount of baggage, as it has to be loaded and unloaded each day.
- Two medium duffel bags
- Limited to no more than 40 pounds each
- Plastic garbage cans, with or without wheels, are NOT considered luggage. Please do not bring them.
What do I need to bring?
See the Equipment List.
What is the fee for a non-rider?
Non-rider fees are $650. These fees cover the use of all amenities. There is no pro-rated fee for just meals, showers, etc.
Can I bring my own support vehicle and driver?
Yes you can. They will be asked to travel a different route to the next campsite in order to not have extra vehicles along the bike route.
Sometimes there will not be an alternate route available. If they need to take the bike route, they will be asked to not stop at
the rest stop or anywhere along the route. There typically is not enough room for an extra vehicle at the rest stops, and stopping
along the route can be hazardous for the riders. The driver will need to register with us at Check-In and agree to abide by our policies.
Will we have a place to leave cars for the week?
Yes. Arrangements have been made to leave them at the site where we start and end the rides.
Do you provide lunch?
Yes, we do provide lunches. All meals are included EXCEPT for lunch on the layover days.
Can I ship my bike?
Yes. You need to ship your bike to
Sunnyside Sports.
Be sure it arrives no later than 4 days prior the start of the ride:
